Since I woke up so early today, I thought I should just update my blog a little.
It has been a busy month for me, and it will get busier the next few months because I have planned to do a lot of stuff.
Last Saturday I went for 2 volunteer interviews, PAssion North Run and BNP Paribas WTA Finals. Good news is I got in for both events. I'm really excited for the latter especially because this is the first time I'm volunteering for such a grand event. What is that event about? It's a tennis tournament for women all over the world. Really excited because I get to see professional players up-close! And this is also the first time it's held in Singapore so I'm really glad to be part of the final force for this event. :)
Another thing that I'm currently active in now is 围棋(Wéiqí). It's a board game that uses black and white stones. No idea how I'm going to explain this game actually so I shall just post a picture of it.

While I was over in Liverpool, I decided to join an online competition organised by Singapore Weiqi Association (SWA). It's my first ever competition and I got 4th. x) This really gave me the confidence and also boosted my passion for weiqi.
This coming weekend (13/14 Sep), I'm participating in a team competition held by SP aka SP open. Finally in my 3 years in Ngee Ann, I'm "representing" NP in a competition. The reason why I got in is also because weiqi is not a very well known mindsport in Singapore anyway. But still, I get to represent my school which further fuel my desire to improve.
There's also an upcoming competition in Thailand which I have joined. Hopefully I will be strong enough by then to help my team win something! Can't wait!
Oh I'm also starting to be active in gym with my gym mate, Xue Ying. It really feels good to sweat because you exercised and not because of the weather. And because of the gym session I have been sleeping early which led me to waking up super early like 5am in the morning. :'D But it's good for my body so I shall not complain about it. x)
It's gonna be a busy year for me but I know it will be a memorable journey for me. Last year of poly and I'm joining so many stuff.... I CAN DO IT!
Cheers,
Wei Ting
